ACCOMMODATION
Split is a highly popular tourist destination, especially during the summer months. As the conference takes place during the peak tourist season, hotel availability may be limited, and accommodation prices are generally higher than usual.
Split is a very safe city, and there are many Uber drivers available, with rides being relatively affordable (typically in the single digits for short trips within the city, even in July). Therefore, in terms of safety and transport, the choice of accommodation location is not critical.
Hotels:
South of the faculty, near the beaches Trstenik and Žnjan:
North of the city centre, in a more industrial and business-oriented area:
There are also numerous hotels in and around Diocletian’s Palace; however, they are located slightly over 2.5 km from the faculty, and please note that cars are not allowed within the historic city centre.
In addition to hotels, Split offers several thousand private apartments and rooms available for short-term rental, providing a wide range of options in terms of location and price. Participants are therefore strongly encouraged to book their accommodation well in advance to ensure availability and more favorable rates.

TRAVEL
Split Airport (SPU) is the closest international airport to the conference venue. It is located approximately 25 km from the city center of Split and serves as one of the busiest airports in Croatia, especially during the summer months. The airport offers numerous direct flights to and from major European cities.
From the airport, Split city center can be reached in about 30–40 minutes, depending on traffic. Several transportation options are available:
- Airport Shuttle Bus operates regularly between the airport and the main bus terminal and ferry port in Split.
https://platanus.hr/shuttle-bus-split/ - Public bus line no. 37 connects Split Airport with the city center and nearby towns, offering a more affordable option.
https://www.promet-split.hr/en/ - Taxi and ride-sharing services (such as Uber and Bolt) are readily available at the airport and provide a convenient way to reach hotels and other destinations in Split.
Additional information about flights, airport facilities, and ground transportation can be found on the official airport website: https://www.split-airport.hr
